Decades ago, the Mission first opened its doors on the very ground where we are now building the New Life Resale Boutique #2. On this site, thousands found meals, shelter, prayer, and a path toward rebuilding their lives. Today, we return to this historic location with a renewed purpose: to continue changing lives in a new and sustainable way, while honoring a pillar at CVRM, Darla Burkett.
Honoring a Legacy of Leadership at the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission
As we expand our mission with the new Resale Boutique, we recognize two leaders whose impact has shaped the Mission. For decades, Darla Burkett and Sue Meyers served with unwavering dedication, compassion, and faith. Their leadership guided the Mission through seasons of growth while keeping its focus firmly rooted in restoring lives through the love of Christ. To honor their extraordinary legacy, we are launching a Capital Campaign to name the New Life Resale Boutique building after them.

The New Life Resale Boutique #2 is more than a place to shop; it’s a place that gives back. Our goals and services are far more than just providing survival essentials. We offer our clients and the community hope, recovery, and faith.
