Coachella Valley Street Outreach: Delivering Essentials to Our Homeless Community
Street Outreach brings our community gifts to the streets, where we deliver vital provisions to those in need. The Coachella Valley Rescue Mission Street Outreach team travels throughout the Coachella Valley and into surrounding areas, including Thermal and Mecca. We push through the boundaries and barriers that may exist when an individual or family in need cannot come to us. Our team offers housing and crisis assessments, referrals to our partner service providers, and daily essentials like food, water, socks, and hygiene products to the individuals and families in our community who need the grace that comes with understanding and compassion.
What Is Available from the Street Outreach Team?
Our street outreach team works diligently to help unhoused community members find the security of affordable housing, critical rehabilitation programs, and the meals and shelter they desperately need. Along with the longer-term help we can offer, we also help with:- Food, snacks, water, and non-perishable items
- Hygiene items and mobile showers
- Clothing, including socks and shoes
- Backpacks and sleeping bags
- Case management services
- Transportation to the CVRM facilities and bus passes
- Document assistance and free or low-cost ID Forms
- Access to medical care and testing
