What makes CVRM’s team truly special? It’s the incredible blend of backgrounds, experiences, and personalities that come together to serve our mission every single day.

Each member of our staff brings something unique to the table—whether it’s a personal story of resilience, a professional background in social services, or simply a heart for helping others. Some of us have grown up right here in the Coachella Valley, while others have come from across the country or around the world. What unites us is our shared commitment to meeting people where they are and offering compassion, hope, and practical support.

At the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission, you’ll find team members with decades of experience in nonprofit work standing alongside those just beginning their journey in service. Together, we form a mosaic of skills and perspectives that help us better understand and support the diverse individuals and families we serve. Our differences don’t divide us—they strengthen us, making CVRM a place where everyone belongs and every story matters.

Amanda Galindo
Executive Director

Amanda Galindo brings a deep passion for community service and over 15 years of leadership in nonprofit and social service work to her role as Executive Director of the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission. A longtime advocate for vulnerable populations, Amanda is committed to creating lasting change through compassion, collaboration, and innovation.

With a heart for serving others and a vision for empowering lives, Amanda leads CVRM’s mission to provide shelter, nourishment, and hope to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Her leadership is grounded in the belief that everyone deserves dignity, opportunity, and a second chance.

Amanda is excited to carry forward CVRM’s legacy while expanding its impact throughout the Coachella Valley. She invites the community to join her in building a stronger, more hopeful future—one life at a time.

“Since 2007, I have been a part of Coachella Valley Rescue Mission (CVRM), a place that has profoundly transformed my life. More than just a homeless shelter, CVRM is a program dedicated to restoring lives—mine included. Angela has been with CVRM since July 2001.

“Being able to provide support, love, and guidance to our most vulnerable clients, including women and children, is incredibly rewarding to me. I feel blessed to use my past experience as a single mother who overcame domestic violence while navigating financial hardships with four children, as a positive testimony that, through Christ, all things are possible. I never take for granted the opportunity to pour love, support, and encouragement into our most precious clients, especially the children.”

“I enjoy being a part of CVRM and helping change people’s lives, assisting clients to get to our Programs and any other resources that we may have available. CVRM is truly a blessing to me, it saved my life and I enjoy giving back to the community and sharing my story. I have seen how many of our clients have successfully graduated from our programs and have moved out with a stable job and housing. I look forward to continue assisting our community and helping those in need.”
